Summary

The Regional IT Security Specialist serves as the SME with respect to IT Security, IT Risk and IT Compliance in the region. He is accountable for maintaining and improving SGS’s IT security position within the region based on corporate compliancy standards.

Specific Responsibilities

• Review/approve the IT projects in the region from the IT Security point of view.
• Accountable for the execution of the Corporate IT Security strategy in the region.
• Member of the global IT Security team.
• Advise Country IT in how to deal with detected IT Security vulnerabilities.
• Point of escalation in case of an IT Security breach in the region.
• Accountable for the Disaster Recovery plans and processes in the Region.

Job Function

• Assists the countries in the region in the implementation of the Corporate IT security guidelines.
• Serves as an advisor for Country IT management on IT security governance policies, procedures and risks.
• Serves as a key contact for all IT Security related risk and audit activities in the region. 
• Leads the development and documentation of Processes and Procedures related to IT Security
  aligned with Groups governances.
• Identifies meaningful data metrics for identifying IT security risks to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Develops reports and KPIs, analyzes trends and identifies areas for improvement related to IT Security.
• Assesses existing controls used or considered, for effectiveness in meeting standards (e.g. internal IT
  audits against internal governance, regulatory requirements per SLA, etc.).
• Assists with 3rd party vendor assessments/risk analysis based on audit and assessment best practices.
• Leads the countries in the region as IT Security Risk Manager. Identifies and develops knowledge based upon existing Risk Management Frameworks applicable to business needs.
• Assists country IT in answering customer queries/RFPs regarding IT Security related questionnaires, IT Security audits, etc.
• Serves as a resource for M&A activities in the region assisting with identifying risk and impacts relating to IT Security.
• Liaises with country IT on IT security topics ensuring directives relating to IT security initiatives are communicated to related stakeholders.
• Conducts IT Security related risk assessment activities in cooperation with internal risk, privacy, legal,
   other functions and groups, auditors, and other internal stakeholders. 
• Acts as a key contact in the region for the development of secure technical solutions.
• Researches and recommends remediations and mitigations towards reducing exposure to risk.
• Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Some level of higher education (Bachelor or equivalent) is required for the function.
• Knowledge of IT Security across various platforms.
• Fundamental computer forensics skills.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience working in IT Security
• Certifications preferred: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or <--------Please upload your CV here--------, and/or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
• Language Skills: English advanced level of knowledge required.  Other languages are beneficial
• Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Advanced level required preferred
• Computer Skills:
  • MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – Intermediate user proficiency required, knowledge of other related software might be required as the job demands. 
  • Hands-on knowledge of security tools and solutions
• Good communication skills
• Presentation skills directed to specific audience
• Leadership abilities and skills
• Ability to understand laws and regulations as it applies to IT Security & Risk
•  Hands-on experience in security systems including antimalware, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, web application firewalls, VPN, Zero-Trust, cloud technologies, etc.

Working Conditions

Location of the Job: Any country in the region is possible

Work Schedule:

• Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
• Longer hours, evenings and/or weekend work will be necessary occasionally as job duties demand
