POSITION INFO:
Regional Coordinator (Sustainable Development) – Fixed Term Contract
A global impact and sustainable development firm is looking for a highly energetic and deadline driven Senior Coordinator to join their Johannesburg office.
You will be responsible for a range of tasks including communications and marketing, network development, training and capacity building, research, coordination and outreach as well as providing logistical and administrative support.
Additionally, you will coordinate and facilitate events organized in parts of Africa including training and capacity building exercises, knowledge sharing and learning sessions, and preparation of related reports.
Track record of experience developing and maintaining relationships at different levels within different stakeholder groups is non negotiable.
Minimum requirements include but are not limited to the following:
- A Bachelors degree (or higher)
- Proven track record of related work experience (research on sustainable development; network relations; communications and marketing; training and capacity building; advocacy)
- Ability to work in a self-supporting setting; capable of working independently to systematically implement tasks and adjusts methods as needed to achieve objectives of tasks
- Solid presentation skills
- Experience in administration and logistics are an added advantage
- Experience in development aid projects and donor relations desirable
- Knowledge of global sustainable development accountability frameworks and standards is desirable
- Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural setting
- Competency level in use of Microsoft Office
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Location: Johannesburg
Duration: 6 month fixed term contract
