Refrigeration Technician

Our PMB based client is looking to hire a qualified refrigeration to join their team.  You will be responsible for processing and completing work orders, installing new refrigeration systems, trouble shooting mechanical failures and performing equipment maintenance.  You should have advanced knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, good mechanical skills as well as excellent troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Processing and completing job orders
• Ascertaining equipment needs of the factory
• Ordering equipment supplies, repair modules and sundries for the repair
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and compliance schematics
• Installing climate control systems, refrigeration units and other equipment
• Observing and testing newly installed systems
• Maintaining stock levels
• Replacing worn seals, outer shells and worn motors
• Informing management of repair costs and alternate cooling options

Requirements:

• Technical diploma as a refrigeration technician or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years experience as a refrigeration technician
• HVAC certification
• Braising and soldering skills
• Knowledge of the relevant building codes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics
• Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Physically fit to lift heavy equipment
• Must be able to work on standby and be available for call outs
