We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Qualified Technician to join a busy, high-performance workshop environment. This role is ideal for a Red Seal Technician with strong diagnostic ability, dealership experience, and exposure to modern vehicle technologies, including electric and hybrid systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technician who takes pride in precision workmanship, manufacturer standards, and delivering first-time-right repairs within a structured OEM environment.

You will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing motor vehicles in line with strict manufacturer specifications. Working closely with the Foreman and workshop team, you will ensure efficient workflow, accurate fault diagnosis, and high-quality repairs while maintaining compliance with dealership standards and customer care expectations.

Remuneration:
Market related + Incentive + Provident Fund + Medical aid contributions

POSITION INFO:
Duties include

Diagnose, service, and repair motor vehicles according to manufacturer standards
Identify required parts and ensure correct ordering for job completion
Report additional work requirements to the Foreman promptly
Obtain authorisation before carrying out additional repairs or fitting higher-value parts
Follow strict OEM technical specifications and workshop procedures
Complete accurate job cards including detailed cause and correction notes
Ensure all parts, oils, and consumables are correctly recorded
Maintain high standards of vehicle care, cleanliness, and protection at all times
Ensure workshop tools, equipment, and special tools are used responsibly
Adhere to flat-rate time expectations and productivity targets
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Support apprentices/learners through guidance and practical coaching when required
Maintain professional conduct and strong teamwork within the workshop

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience as an automotive technician in the motor industry.
Minimum Level 4 Technician competency
Red Seal Trade Certificate (Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician)
Valid South African Driver’s Licence
Computer literate (basic workshop systems / job card systems)
Dealership experience essential (premium brand experience – (BMW, Mercedes Benz, Jaguar Land Rover, Audi)
EV / Hybrid exposure advantageous
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict turnaround times
High attention to detail and adherence to manufacturer standards
