SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
Manage all equipment including generators, drill rigs and compressors.
Main Areas of responsibility:
- Preventative maintenance
- Managing breakdowns
- Maintain high availability rates on all equipment
- Development/Innovation related to equipment
- Develop and maintain good relationship with key supplier / business partners
Due to the remoteness of the site, it is imperative that fault finding is quick and equipment can be efficiently repaired.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 year relevant experience
- Formal qualification related to mechanical maintenance
- An in-depth understanding of:
- Diesel Engines
- Hydraulics
- Good understanding of:
- Auto electrical
- Transmissions
- Willing to work away from home on a remote site - 8 weeks on, 2 weeks off
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Red Seal
Diesel Engines (Cummins, John Deere & CAT)
Exploration Drills (Atlas Copco / Sandvik)
Able to read and interpret hydraulic diagrams
3+ years’ work experience on heavy earthmoving machinery or surface drilling machinery
Previous experience on mine advantageous
Declared fit to work on a Mine
Must be fit to obtain a medical certificate of fitness
Working experience of at least 3 – 5 years on a Drill Rig
