SUMMARY:
We seek the expertise of an experienced and exceptional Recruitment Consultant to join a results driven, committed and tenacious team to be based in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg.

POSITION INFO:
Inherent Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • 3 to 5 years’ proven experience as a Recruitment/Sourcing Consultant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Recruitment and HR concepts, policies, procedures and administrative procedures
  • Experience in competency-based interviewing and selection
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Excellent administrative and coordinative skills
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
Preferred Requirements:
  • Tertiary HR qualification advantageous
  • Placement Partner knowledge advantageous
  • HR administration and coordination experience

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and manage the recruitment process for all appointments in the Cluster in line with the Group’s Recruitment and Appointment policy
  • Ensure all processes and requirements are met in line with the policy
  • Facilitate the placement of internal and external advertisements for all vacancies
  • Ensure the position profile / job specification and Job Description for the position to be advertised is up to date and in the correct format  
  • Source diverse and qualified candidates through various means including but not limited to; direct sourcing, industry networking, internet, internal recruitment database, employee referrals, job portals as well as appropriate professional associations
  • Proactively scan the market and relevant platforms to seek potential talent for available positions to shorten the turnaround time of appointments
  • Screen and shortlist qualified candidates
  • Arrange and conduct interviews with line managers (in person, phone, video-conference, etc.)
  • Arrange and coordinate all actions relating to interviews and related evaluations (including booking of practical evaluations, candidate access, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, minimizing exposure to adverse outcomes of complaints, litigation, audits and inspections
  • Facilitate interview feedback with all stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate candidate- and interview records
  • Process and conduct references, qualification, ID and other relevant candidate verification checks
  • Ensure close out of unsuccessful candidates
  • Submit the required documentation and motivations to facilitate the appointment process
  • Effectively manage any appointments that are considered deviations in terms of Employment Equity targets by liaising with the Group EE Manager and Cluster Executive team to accurately record all relevant information
  • Facilitate extending offers of employment and acceptance thereof
  • Ensure all new employees receive the relevant employment documentation to be completed prior to the commencement of employment
  • Ensure all documentation in terms of appointments and employment documentation is fully completed and accurate to ensure compliance
  • Effectively communicate with all relevant stakeholders during the recruitment process to ensure all stakeholders are informed of the status of the process at any point in time
  • Maintain a tracking record of all vacancies and the status of each position in terms of the recruitment process, to be submitted to management at a frequency determined by management
  • Arrange and manage all equipment, system access and logistics required for all appointments
  • Facilitate terminations by managing the exit process, including but not limited to the exit interview process
  • Ensure compliance with all Company and Group policies, especially relating to all HR policies relating to appointments and any other employee management processes/practises
  • Manage and compile a database / talent pool of candidates
  • Assist with any HR administrative functions for the Cluster
  • Provide reports to management, as and when requested
  • Prioritising workloads
