POSITION INFO:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Matric/ Grade 12
• Qualified in relevant trade (Diesel Mechanic/Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic etc) with minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Knowledge of Mining Industries and Principles
• Fluent in English (Written and Verbal)
• Computer literate and conversant with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• An understanding or experience in the underground mining industry, with mining methodologies, understanding of equipment application, and the mining production cycle is an advantage.
• General TMM machine technical knowledge, maintenance procedures, safety controls and mining applications an advantage.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Tactical management of the of the Rebuild Workshop to ensure that the machining overhauls comply to company standard and specific specification in accordance with the relevant compliances of quality standards.
• Consult with H&S Consultant to determine the nature of non-compliance of Health and Safety requirements in order to resolve, prevent and make recommendations.
• Conduct regular inspections/audits on the machines as well as assess the employee’s inspections/audits on a monthly basis.
• Provide on-the-job guidance and training to relevant Departments on H&S requirement as well as work procedure for the Rebuilds Workshop on a daily basis.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in the workplace.

• Maintain machinery, equipment and other related items in their assigned Departments in order to maintain an orderly approach to all operations.
• Maintain safety standards and comply with the Company’s safety instructions and requirements at all times.
• Use the appropriate personal safety equipment and obey all the safety signs.
• Report processes or personnel that contravene safety, environment standards and practices.
• Assisting employees with personal and team concerns, while referring those issues for which company facilitation is required to the Human Resources Department.
• Facilitate the motivation, loyalty and goal directed activities of all employees and identifying possible areas for improvement.
