Opportunity Available!! Our well known client in the Manufacturing Sector is looking to employ a Raw Material Manager to join their dynamic team in Middleburg

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of the job:

The role of the Procurement manager for Raw Material is responsible for the Supply Chain management, from material planning requirement to payment, for all Raw Materials needed by the company

Job Description:

The position manages the areas of Alloy sourcing, Scrap sourcing and Flux sourcing
Further responsibilities entail Material requirement planning
Global material and supplier sourcing
Price negotiation and contracting
Price negotiation and contracting
Supply chain management
Monitoring and control

Job Requirements:

The person should have 6 – 8 relevant work years’ experience and a BEng/ BSc Engineering (preferably Metallurgy / Chemical / Mechanical / Material science).
A BCom will also be acceptable with in-depth knowledge of specific raw material commodity
Knowledge of the Steel-Plant, Purchasing processes and procedures will be a prerequisite.
Additionally you will be required to have the knowledge of the Financial Creditors, Treasury and Costing systems.
Good people management and motivational skills will be an added advantage, as well as strong problem solving skills and sound business understanding.
