RESERVATIONS CONSULTANT

RS Recruitment Services is assisting a well-established, international organisation in the TRAVEL INDUSTRY to recruit RESERVATIONS CONSULTANTS to be based at their offices in DURBAN. Approximately R12 000 ctc basic, negotiable + commission.

The ideal candidate should have/be the following:

Matric.

A qualification relevant to the travel industry, an advantage.

A service-oriented approach.

Previous experience in a telephone sales environment.

Proven sales ability.

Familiar with reservations processes and procedures.

A quick learner

Able to multitask

Key responsibilities, but not limited to:

Answering of calls professionally and promptly.

Attend to queries from agents and clients telephonically and via email.

Call clients and consult with them about their needs while giving practical and expert advice, in accordance with the clients’ budget and requirements.

Prepare and send quotes (flights, accommodation and transfers/car hire).

Follow-up with clients about quotes.

Capture bookings.

Keep the client updated regarding all booking details, flight times, accommodation and transport.

Submit call reports.

Working Hours During SA Summer:

11:00 – 20:00 Monday to Friday with a one hour break for lunch.

11:00 – 16:00 alternate Saturdays with no break for lunch 

Not required to work on UK public holidays (10).

Will be required to work on SA public holidays.

Leave: 20 working days leave per a year.

Working Hours During SA Winter:

10:00 – 19:00 Monday to Friday with a one hour break for lunch.

10:00 – 15:00 alternate Saturdays with no break for lunch 

Remuneration:

Approximately R12 000 basic, negotiable + commission.

SCREENING QUESTIONS

Do you have experience matching the most appropriate travel products with the client''s individual needs?

Do you have experience with booking reservations for clients for air, travel, hotel, safari tours and car rentals?
