SUMMARY:
REGISTERED NURSE - HEALTHCARE COORDINATOR

POSITION INFO:

Experienced and energetic Registered Nurse to fulfill the role of Healthcare Co-Ordinator in Somerset West.

To ensure high quality patient care, we also invest in continuous development of our staff, which includes both internal and external training.

Duties include but is not limited to the following

• Daily clinic for village residents

• Hombased care for village residents

• Screen sub-acute patients in hospital prior to admission

• Training and orientation of new staff

• Medication Management

• Assist in the healthcare as required

• Handover

• Administration

• Emergencies

• Annual visits to all village residents

Requirements Qualifications –

 Registered Nurse qualification, SANC registered Experience and Knowledge

 – Experience in medical/surgical nursing (sub-acute and long-term care), dementia care, frail care and palliative care.

Skills and Attributes - Strong interpersonal skills, professional communication, ability to work under pressure, managerial skills, making sound decisions, computer literate, professional, focused, compassion for the elderly, be able to converse with people on different levels - staff, families, MDT and other professionals coming into the facility

Specific Requirements • Own Transport • No criminal record • Solid and positive references Working Hours - Normal working days are Mondays to Fridays from 07h00 until 17h00. You will be required to be on standby one weekend per month to assist in the healthcare if needed Benefits
