Our client is a supplier of performance chemicals to the mining industry.

Job Description

 

Note: This is an initial 3 month FTC, after which the position will become permanent

Reporting to the Flocculant Manager and MD, You will be responsible for managing a client operation in Vredendal.

• Familiarize and maintain operations of flocculant dosage control units on site’s thickeners
• Report on ongoing operations, dosage control and unit availability, including spares for the dosage units
• Change parts on dosing units as required
• Monitor and report on flocculant stocks on site
• Manage bulk tanker deliveries and escort onto site
• Periodic visits to the warehouse in Cape Town to check stock levels
• Flocculant laboratory evaluations as required
• Quarterly presentation on product/service performance

Qualifications

• BTech/ND Metallurgical/Chemical Engineering

Skills

• 5+ years experience
• Experience in metallurgical production plant
