SUMMARY:
Reporting to the General Manager our client is seeking Manager who is driven by quality and fully conversant with FSSC 22000 level 5 expertise.

POSITION INFO:

You will be required to establish, implement, and maintain the company’s food safety system as per FSSC requirements and customer-specific accreditations.

Minimum Requirements

5 years’ management experience in the production environment of which was overseeing a quality team.
Must have FSSC 22000 level 5 experience, Retail food standards implementation advantageous.
3 years’ experience in working with pest control contractors on a manufacturing site.
5 Years’ experience in passing external food safety audits.
3 years of basic understanding of production systems and processes.
Ability to understand process control sheets.
Ability to work under pressure due to the nature of the business.
Ability to work overtime and shifts when required.
Physical fit (able to do some lifting at times)

Key Result Areas

Manage and Coordinate Quality Control staff
Create a safe environment with the required resources for the QC department
Ensuring that the Food Safety System (FSSC) is established, implemented, maintained, continually improved, and updated
Facilitate food safety meeting with Food Safety Team
FSSC training requirements
Ensuring regulatory and Statutory compliance
Manage laboratory and product analysis.
Manage asset care of laboratory equipment to ensure that is working and calibrated.
Ensure effective housekeeping is maintained in the lab.
Develop, implement, and update product specifications.
Working with production to develop solutions to production issues, maintaining food safety.
Ensure resolution to customer complaints.
Internal Auditing
Communicate with outside labs
