Quality Manager - Aviation

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a highly diligent candidate with excellent attention to detail for the role of Quality Manager. The Quality Manager will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating internal production processes, examining products to determine their quality and engaging with customers and gathering product feedback, among other duties.

POSITION INFO:

• Understanding customer expectations of and needs from a quality product in the aviation industry.
• Developing quality control processes to eliminate process technology and people originated quality failures.
• Designing product manufacturing specifications.
• Ensuring products are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards.
• Supervising staff and monitoring production standards.
• Examining the quality of raw materials that are used in production.
• Monitoring and evaluating internal production processes and determine areas of improvement.
• Evaluating final output of products to determine their quality.
• Rejecting products that fail quality standards.
• Engaging with customers and gathering product feedback.
• Producing statistical reports on quality standards.
• Reporting to upper management on quality standard issues.
• Evaluating product recalls.
• Improving production efficiency and managing waste.
• Devise and review specifications for products or processes
• Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance
• Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations
• Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback
• Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
• Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements
• Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
• Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met
• Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives
• Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures, continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Degree in Business Administration or relevant field
• Qualification N4 and above
• Quality control certification advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and technical written communication skills
• Data analysis and statistical aptitude
• Good interpersonal skills
• Highly conscientious and diligent
• 10 year + Experience in Quality
• Proven experience as Quality Manager
• Conscientious and responsible
• A keen eye for detail and a result driven approach
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
• Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods
• Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
