JOB DESCRIPTION:

Quality Inspector - Killarney Gardens - R7, 000 – R10, 000 Per Month

Thermoplastic Extrusions and Mouldings company seeks a Quality Inspector to provide a level of service that ensures that quality targets and in turn customer requirements are met. This is an essential element of the Company’s success. This is necessary for security and long-term prosperity for all employees.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Inspect products to ensure that they meet quality standards
Create tests for quality control of products
Conduct fit, form and function for product parts as well as inspect them individually
Monitor production operations to ensure conformance to company specifications
Direct assembly adjustments to ensure operations reflect quality standards
Ensure products meet customer expectations based on company objectives
Communicate the results of inspections and put forward corrective suggestions
Complete reports to document deficiencies and errors in products
Inspect and rework parts in Second Operations
Raise quality awareness on shifts
Verify and calibrate verniers for shift operators
Inspect returned stock from customers
Any other duties assigned by superior
- Train operator/mentors to a level to stand in for the setter’s role
- Communicate with alternate shift Quality Inspector and all internal departments as required
- Involvement with continuous improvement projects to include 5S, and reduction of scrap
- Carry out any reasonably requested duty as required by management

HOURS OF WORK

Monday to Thursday, 06.00 am – 6.00 pm Day Shift

Monday to Wednesday, 06.00 pm – 6.00 am Night Shift
