What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the Automotive Components Manufacturing sector. All duties would take place in this context.

*  Quality control on Plastics Components

*  Establish Quality Metrics

*  Quality Improvement with PFMEAs & 8D

*  Quality Audits

*  Update Covisint & Ford portal

Key Job Deliverables:

*  Deal with disgruntled customers

*  Prevent Defects using PFMEA

*  Reduce defects and scrap

Background work experience:

*  3 years Automotive Quality Engineering

*  3 years PFMEAs, Reverse PFMEAs, 8D, RCAs and associated quality practices

*  3 years Internal Quality Audits

*  3 years Covisint & Ford Portal

*  BTech in Engineering such as Mechanical or Industrial

*  Quality Engineering in Automotive

*  Performing quality engineering at a Tier 1 or OEM automotive manufacturer

*  Utilise Quality improvement techniques to prevent and reduce defects

*  Audit the internal quality procedures to ensure compliance

*  Update OEM portals with quality information

*  Advantageous: Plastics Quality Experience

Salary: Market Related. In the Range of R180K to R360K per annum. Highly exceptional more senior candidates may be considered.
