SUMMARY:
Quality Coordinator

POSITION INFO:

Main purpose of the job:

• To oversee the operation of the laboratory and to coordinate and manage the Quality Control functions from Incoming Goods to final product leaving the warehouse. Key responsibility is also the coordination and maintenance of all Quality Systems and Procedures.

Prefered Minimum Requirements:

• Preferably Matric (Gr. 12) with Maths & Science
• BSc / Food Science, Biotechnology or ND orr Degree Food Technology
• 2-5 Years Experience in similar role – Food manufacturing / processing environment
• Legislation, Policies, Procedures and Standards
• Information Management
• Enforcement
• intermediate computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet)
• Excellent Written & Verbal Skills

Knowledge: 

• Knowledge  of ISO standards, PRP’s GMP, Food Technology, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry,
• World class manufacturing and quality practices and models, Specific product and process knowledge,  Management systems, Problem Solving Tools, Mathematics, Audit Compliance, Aseptic sampling methods.

Skills:

• Ability to maintain Food Safety management and Quality Control systems in line with best practices
• Managing and leading teams towards high performance, QC skills and use of apparatus, Change Management, Monitoring and reviewing, Conflict handling, Audits, Administration Management, Good People skills
