Vacancy_Quality Controller Linbro Park (R25k-R30k)
Core Responsibilities
- Quality Management System (QMS)
- Improve, implement, monitor, and report on QMS performance.
- Analyse trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with international and national standards.
- Oversee product recalls and maintain full traceability.
- Standards & Procedures
- Establish and review quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Work with purchasing to define supplier quality requirements.
- Set packaging safety and quality standards.
- Document and maintain policies, procedures, and checklists.
- Verification & Validation
- Manage sampling, laboratory testing, and results review.
- Report verification and validation outcomes monthly.
- Training & Supervision
- Conduct screening and induction for new employees.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Communicate job expectations and verify training effectiveness.
- Audits & Inspections
- Perform internal audits, walk-abouts, and inspections.
- Identify problems, recommend improvements, and enforce policies.
- Customer Complaints & Trend Analysis
- Lead investigations and corrective actions.
- Prepare documentation and reports on failed processes, recalls, and re-validations.
- Financial & Strategic Planning
- Manage raw materials and stock level alerts ,support strategic plans.
- Conduct hazard analyses and implement preventive measures.
General Conduct
- Deliver high-quality work, meet deadlines, follow procedures, and maintain confidentiality.
- Communicate respectfully and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Work as part of a team, support other departments when required, and adhere to safety regulations.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Food Science, Packaging, Food Technology, Quality Assurance, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years in a supervisory or management role in the food or packaging industry (food packaging preferred).
Skills:
- Strong teamwork, communication, and computer literacy (Word, Excel).
- Good arithmetic, attention to detail, and ability to read/draft manuals and checklists.
- Knowledge of audit criteria (FSA, Intertek, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14000).
