POSITION INFO:

Our Client, a fruit packhouse situated in the Boland region is looking for a Quality Controller to join their team.  Prior experience within a packhouse / food manufacturing environment will be highly advantageous.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Good laboratory practices and standards are maintained
• Manage the Lab Testing and Sampling Function
• Maintenance of Quality Control Test Data, Specifications and Records
• Manage Incoming Goods Inspection Process
• Manage the Plant Quality Control Function
• Management of the Finished Goods Pending, Q’ Hold and Release System
• Assist with Maintenance of Systems
• Initiate Non-Conformance Report and Incident Investigations
• Assist with Customer Complaints Investigations
• Identifies risks in area of responsibility and immediate operations

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric with a tertiary degree / diploma in food technology or equivalent training.
• 2-3 Years relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Supplementary advance training in food safety systems will be advantageous.
• Literacy in Microsoft Excel / Word (Intermediate level).
• Great attention to detail
• Able to work under pressure
• Able to perform high quality work under time constraints
• Articulate, strong in administration and record keeping
• Health and safety knowledge will be advantageous

 

SALARY :

R15 000 CTC
