Quality Control Inspector

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Quality Control Inspector - N4 Red Seal Fitter & Turner Machinist – Germiston

Minimum requirements:

  • Qualified Fitter & Turner – Red Seal
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Control / Fitting, Turning machine environment with experience gained in a mechanical engineering component manufacturing and assembly company
  • Computer literate – SAP essential
  • Knowledge of Quality Control standards and testing / inspection methodologies
  • Assembly of rotating equipment, pumps, valves etc experience
  • Have ability to read and interpret technical literature
  • Have worked with heat treatment certificates and carried out NCR and NDT testing
  • Machine shop turning experience

Job purpose (including but not limited to):

  • Inspect incoming parts (buyouts) and repaired / reworked components according to the order requirements
  • Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity conform to the order with regards to material specifications
  • Assist fitters and personnel with component measurements during assembly when required
