Quality Control Inspector

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Quality Control Inspector - N4 Red Seal Fitter & Turner Machinist – Germiston

Minimum requirements:

Qualified Fitter & Turner – Red Seal
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Control / Fitting, Turning machine environment with experience gained in a mechanical engineering component manufacturing and assembly company
Computer literate – SAP essential
Knowledge of Quality Control standards and testing / inspection methodologies
Assembly of rotating equipment, pumps, valves etc experience
Have ability to read and interpret technical literature
Have worked with heat treatment certificates and carried out NCR and NDT testing
Machine shop turning experience

Job purpose (including but not limited to):

Inspect incoming parts (buyouts) and repaired / reworked components according to the order requirements
Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity conform to the order with regards to material specifications
Assist fitters and personnel with component measurements during assembly when required

Salary offer: Negotiable
