SUMMARY:
Warehouse / Distribution Client looking for a Quality Checker : Responsible for inspecting shipments picked for customer orders and verifying quality correctness of products and packaging, Must have Forklift License

POSITION INFO:

Follow Company policies at all times

Check accuracy of products picked, quantities, labelling of the parcels and if weights are recorded
Increase efficiency, accuracy and customer satisfaction

Build and maintain trust relationships with the Management Team, Colleagues and Customers to ensure specific targets are met

Work as part of the Warehouse Team to ensure a smooth warehouse operation

Work collaboratively and engage with key Stakeholders to achieve specific targets

Strive to maintain an ethical Team environment

Inspect individual shipment job numbers on completion of picking in an efficient manner to release customer orders in accordance with procedure

Check items picked are in accordance with the picking list part number and image

Provide feedback to Picker and Team Leader when products or quantities picked are incorrect, requesting changes

Check that all pallets, parcels, and bundles have a label, and items that are packed together in one box are correct and have the correct labels
Affix a QC label to all pallets, parcels and bundles confirming the goods are accurate and can be released

Complete a quality check on all same day dispatch orders and as many orders as possible for next day

Accurately start and complete inspections in the system including scanning

Complete any paperwork with clear and adequate information

Assist in investigating quality issues regarding to shipments using inhouse system

Follow up on quality issues and report status to management

Inform Team Leader in time when QC labels stock on hand are less than a week

Alert Team Leader of any issues which arise during the picking process and where an order cannot be fulfilled as per the picking slip

Keep the warehouse clean and tidy at all times

Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained in line with safety procedure and policy

Follow Health & Safety procedures

Report risks and hazards to the Team Leader

Report accidents and incidents immediately to the Team Leader
