Quality Assurance & Quality Control

SUMMARY:
Responsible for ensuring compliance with the company ISO 9001 Quality Management System on site whilst also 
performing various necessary quality process control related duties, ensuring quality conformance to specifications, 
designs and customer requirements. Must provide advice and implement quality assurance and control measures 
and perform administrative activities such as checking and completing all QA and QC documentation.

2-year tertiary education, diploma technical / technical trade qualification
Experience and knowledge in Quality with ISO 9001 QMS and Auditing 
completed courses, experience in construction of HV Transmission 
Lines/Sub-stations, Computer Literacy and a valid driver’s licence
3 years’ practical experience within a construction environment
Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT’s)

Update and compile project quality management 
plan (PQMP) according to Client requirements;
2. Compile data pack index for material inspection 
according to Client requirements;
3. Prepare, complete/ compile quality control plans 
(QCP’s) / Inspection & test plans (ITP’s) according 
to Client requirements;
4. Identify the interventions needed and prepare the 
QCP/ ITP accordingly;
5. Obtain the signatures of all parties involved on 
the PQMP, QCP, QCS’s, Material data packs, etc.;
6. Review, update PQMP, QCP/ ITP, QCS’s and 
material data packs;
7. Report changes needed to the update PQMP, 
QCP/ ITP, QCS’s and material data packs with the 
Manager: Construction, Manager: Quality 
Assurance and Manager: Quality;
8. Continuously update the project master list of 
documentation;
9. Attend to material inspections at Supplier and 
Company Stores prior to release or issue for use;
10. Obtain all necessary material acceptance and 
material release inspection records;
11. Compile data pack in accordance with the 
Company or Client index requirements;
12. Communicate noted deviation, using an 
improvement notice form to doccontrol and the 
Construction Manager;
13. Control records by adding it to MFiles and update 
the hardcopy file.
14. Identify, report and investigate noted deviations 
(material defects, reworks, SHEQ incidents, work 
execution training needs, etc.)
