POSITION INFO:

Job Position: Qualified Toolmaker (Equity)

Location: Port Elizabeth

Salary:  R25 000 to R30 000 per month commensurate with experience and qualification

Qualifications / Requirements

• Qualified Toolmaker with completed Trade Test (please send certificate with application)
• Be able to TIG, MIG and / or gas weld
• Minimum of 5 years experience within Toolmaker injection moulding industry essential
• Overhead crane license and operation experience – transporting large moulds 20 to 45 tons highly advantageous
• Shift work required
• Ability to operate a computer
• Willing to work flexible hours if required
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Good knowledge of safe operations and working with lifting equipment to its specific lifting capacity

Key Performance Areas:

• Ensure all tools and equipment are prepared and available for production when required
• Repair and service tools in accordance with company guidelines
• Flush and clean tools when removed from production
• Report defects and repairs on the control document
• Record modifications and guarantee sign off’s as per the procedure
• Ensure new tools are numbered and a control document is available
• Report defects and deviations to management
• Follow safe work procedures at all times
• Ensure all mould stay within the limits of the production limit sample standard
• Ensure that all moulds are kept up to 5S standards
