Well renowned food manufacturing company is currently hiring a Qualified Millwright to join their dedicated team. The suitable candidate will be responsible for ensuring that plant maintenance is done effectively and accurately in such a way to ensure the minimum downtime.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the machines do not deteriorate
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, bearings
• Replace filters and perform other maintenance actions following checklists
• Be able to comply with Food safety standards
• Previous FMCG experience is a definite advantage
• Assemble, install and / or repair, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment on steam and waterline
• Ensure that your department complies with all Health and Safety requirements.
• Record maintenance and repair work performed
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
• Be involved in Projects
• Machine installations
• Accurate completion of administrative forms

Minimum Requirements

• Millwright Trade Test Minimum 5-10 years production line or FMCG maintenance experience
• PLC/VSD Drives experience required
• Knowledge in mixers, dividers, proofers, conveyor systems, refrigeration and boilers is required
• Ability to work systematically and prioritize work load is essential
• Report writing and analysis skills
• Mentoring apprentices
• Will be required to work shifts, overtime and be on callouts when required  
• Dedication, independence and the willingness to go the extra mile as the factory runs 2/7 356 days a year.
