Qualified Bookkeeper (with stock experience) | Killarney Gardens

SUMMARY:
ALERT! Job Opportunity A leading wholesaler of international homeware and kitchenware brands is seeking a qualified and experienced bookkeeper to join their high-paced team. Based in Killarney Gardens CPT | R 20 000 - R 25 000 basic pm (neg) | Start ASAP | Permanent | Fast-paced working environment

POSITION INFO:
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE DUTIES:

• Accurate capturing of daily suppliers’ invoices
• Ensuring all invoices are valid Tax Invoices
• Requesting outstanding supplier invoices
• Obtain monthly supplier statements and reconcile to the supplier ledger
• Prepare monthly / weekly payment requisitions
• Completing account opening documentation for approval by the Bookkeeper
• Preparation of stock costing schedules on excel
• Managing and submitting counter claims to Suppliers 

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE DUTIES

• Debt Collection
• Capture debtors’ receipts
• Liaise with debtors on all account queries
• Sending out electronic monthly statements
• Opening and screening of new account applicant
• Issue credit notes in respect of claims and returns

ATTRIBUTES

• Good verbal and written communicative skills in English
• Ability to work independently
• Good problem-solving skills
• Team player – help where needed without being asked
• Positive attitude and excellent attendance record
• Flexibility to adapt to changes

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Matric Certificate
• Experience: 3 – 5 years related experience
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Accounting systems (Xero and Dear advantageous)
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently
