QUANTITY SURVEYOR – SOMERSET WEST

Responsibilities:

• Generate quotes / tenders from building plans, by creating and costing a Bill of Quantities.
• Logistics and Procurement of materials
• Monitoring project budgetary allowances
• Obtaining and coordinating sub-contractors
• Close communication and coordination of the on-site building team
• Project progress reporting
• Final invoicing and accounting preparations for clients and contractors

General Requirements:

• Grade 12 certification is required (Higher Grade Maths)
• 1-2 years minimum working experience
• Knowledgeable in JBCC contracts, CCS and on-site measurements.
• Ability to read and quote on building plans
• Own transport to office and contracted building sites (if needed)
• Ability to confidently work on Bill Of Quantities (BOQ)
• Computer literacy and proficient skill in Microsoft Office suite.
• Proficiency in English/ Afrikaans language (speak, read and write)
• Ability to work as a leader in a team environment
• Project management expire is beneficial
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Assertive and proactive personality
