Foam Manufacturing concern in Pretoria is looking to employ a Quality Engineer.

Qualifications & Experience

Relevant qualification in Engineering / Quality Sciences / TQM
5 years extensive experience in foam manufacturing
Excellent computer literacy in MS Excel / Word and PowerPoint
Excellent knowledge of quality principles, APQP and SPC
Excellent understanding of ISO TS 16949 as well as and Core Tools, FMEA. PFMEA
Working knowledge of IATFTS 16949 standard
Working experience in Project Management and Gauge R&R studies

Duties

Monitor, measure, analyse and timely reporting of Key Performance Indicators achieve set objectives for all Key Performance Areas
Ensure that the KPI overview sheet accurately reflects performance with documented details for underachievement.
Responsible for continuous improvement
Support training to execute quality systems
Ensure statistical methods utilised throughout the product and process development cycle and deployed into the control plan
Co-ordinates the preparation and delivery of PPAP packages
Implementation, evaluation and maintenance of quality systems to customer requirements
Request and receive ECR’s and deviations.
Eliminate uncoordinated changes and ensure early detection of possible plant concerns relating to ECR’s and deviations.
Liase directly with customers regarding quality concerns, engineering changes and quality assurance requirements.
Manages a team of Quality Lab Technicians and Inspectors.
