QC Inspector

SUMMARY:
Assist in the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management system within the company through compliance in terms of customer, company, statutory and regulatory requirements including the basic requirements of the ISO 9001-2015 Quality standard.

POSITION INFO:

• Read, understand and follow work instructions in line with QMS;
• Actively assist immediate supervisor and manager in writing and implementing work instructions in line with QMS;
• Quality control checking of in-coming goods;
• Quality control of incoming, inter-process and dispatch of Radioactive containers;
• Quality control checking of equipment repaired/serviced/calibrated in the Mechanical and Electronic Workshops;
• Issuing certificates of calibration and conformance;
• Quality control checking of outgoing product;
• Assist in performing Safety, Health and Environmental monthly/quarterly and annual inspections;
• Filing and administration of Quality management records;
• Dangerous goods packing;
• Performing weekly stock takes in Radiation store;
• Assist in generating weekly, monthly, quarterly SHE report;
• Assist in generating non-conformance and/or corrective/preventative action reports;
• Assist with and perform internal audits;
• Perform quality control on production parts, sub-assembly and completed product.

Education:

• Grade 12
• Appropriate QC Certification – Quality Control / Internal Auditing
• ISO 9001 Implementation/Awareness / Auditing Course
• Accredited Radiation Safety Course
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a QC environment preferably in the NDT Industry
• Experience in Non-Destructive Testing advantageous
• Experienced in the use of various inspection, measuring and testing equipment, e.g. verniers, micrometers, height gauge, Go – No-Go gauges, thread gauges, depth gauges, etc
