SUMMARY:
Our client a busy fabrication (cut to size) workshop requires a candidate with experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

Grade 12 / equivalent
Completed Level 1 qualification

Experience and requirements:

3 or more years’ experience in the steel fabrication or related industry is essential
Comprehensive knowledge of welding specs within the cut to size / manufacturing industry is essential
A solid welding background
Knowledge of CNC Bending, Laser & Waterjet Cutting, fabrication and rolling
Reside close to Kempton Park
Have own reliable transport
Have a stable work record and contactable references
Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
Of sober habits
Able to work overtime as an when required
Be a team player

Duties and responsibilities:

Ensure QC data books are as per company standards
Complete pre and post quality checks
Able to read and interpret a technical drawing
Assist with various other duties required in the fabrication department
Follow fabrication work in progress and customers outstanding reports
Arrange inspections with customers
Assist with welding inspections, workshop quality requirements and general inspections
