SUMMARY:
Our Client, manufacturers of Resins requires a qualified QC to work under the direction of the Resin plant Manager and is accountable to the Production Manager. Responsible for the supervision of subordinates in the effective operation of the production and Health & Safety within the Laboratory

POSITION INFO:

Responsible to adhere to all Company and OHS act safety requirements in the laboratory and control of the ISO 9001 Quality system in the laboratory.

Responsible for the maintenance and preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment and scales. Where appropriate the incumbent will also ensure that the relevant sections of the ISO 9001 Quality system are adhere to.

 1.0  KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Control and maintain implementation of the ISO 9001 Quality system in the laboratory and production environment.
• Ensure that the Company safety policy in the laboratory area is adhere to. The provisions of the OHS act must be incorporated.
• Ensure Maintenance and preventative maintenance programs are adhered to for the laboratory in accordance to the ISO 9001 procedures

 SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

 Production:

• Product must be manufactured according to the batching instructions
• Testing of product manufactured
• Adjusting of product, if needed, to meet specification
• Give instructions to pack product if such specifications are met.

 Other duties towards production:

• Weekly checks if scales are in spec.
• Check packed products meets ISO 9001 standards
• Checking labels meets ISO standards
• Capturing of Batch cards on Evolution
• Creating COA’s for all products manufactured as required.
• Filing of batch cards
• Filling of batch COA’s on evolution
• Calibration and verification of lab equipment
• Ensure housekeeping is done in the laboratory.
• Making samples as requested
• Ensure all instruction in the Health and Safety file is adhere to
• Ensure that all Health and Safety work is conducted as per OHS act
• Ensure that all equipment is in a safe and useable condition

Raw Material

• Comparing material received against COA’s received
• Upload COA’s onto Evolution
• Check development of colors received against standards
• Report any non-conformance immediately on Emax & verbally to the Production Manager
