QA Engineer using C# for a company in Edinburgh
POSITION INFO:
QA Engineer (automation focus) required for a company in Edinburgh.
This organisation provides award-winning software across a range of professional services industries, and their niche product has allowed them to become a quickly growing front-runner in their industry.
Due to this growth, they are looking to bring a QA Engineer onboard to their already strong testing team. For this team, the focus is very much geared towards automation testing - automating as much where possible and relevant, over a variety of different platforms.
There''s a strong culture of valuing QA, and the QA team are integrated well within the technical team, working side-by-side with the Developers most of the time.
As the team and the company grow, there are more and more opportunities to get involved in new things and progress within the company. For example, long-term there is a merge planned with another product; there''s also been some recent new investment and the company are big advocates of promoting from within. They''ve hired interns to offer them some experience, who they have then hired permanently who are now working at Senior Developers within the company.
You will have most of the following skills/experience:
** Automation testing using C# and Selenium
** Manual testing experience - exploratory testing primarily
** Be able to identify
** Experience with automated UI testing
** Testing cloud SaaS applications
** Agile environment
** Experience within a DevOps environment
** API testing would be a bonus
** Performance and load testing would be a bonus
It would also be nice if you have some knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory, but you should be able to pick this up if not!
As with most companies, they are working remotely at the moment, but are keen long-term for folk to be fairly local to Edinburgh to allow for a mix of in-office and remote working.
The salary on offer is up to £45,000 and the company offer benefits such as private health insurance, access to their Microsoft Gold partnership and access to an online book subscription.
