SUMMARY:
My client that is a JSE listed company based in Johannesburg is urgently looking for a Purchasing Agent to negotiate quotations to improve prices and terms of business with suppliers as well as maintain and manage supplier relationships

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Matric
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or Business Management
4 -5 years’ experience as a buyer
Familiar with any integrated ERP System such as SAP or Syspro would be beneficial.
Good negotiations skills

Job description

Purchasing of goods, material, and components
Communicate and negotiate best prices
Contract suppliers to resolve delivery or invoice issues
Work closely with others in the procurement functions
Provide analysis of costs
