SUMMARY:
My client that is a JSE listed company based in Johannesburg is urgently looking for a Purchasing Agent to negotiate quotations to improve prices and terms of business with suppliers as well as maintain and manage supplier relationships

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Experience & Skills Required:

  • Matric  
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management or Business Management
  • 4 -5 years’ experience as a buyer
  • Familiar with any integrated ERP System such as SAP or Syspro would be beneficial.
  • Good negotiations skills 

 

 

 Job description

  • Purchasing of goods, material, and components
  • Communicate and negotiate best prices
  • Contract suppliers to resolve delivery or invoice issues
  • Work closely with others in the procurement functions
  • Provide analysis of costs
