Payroll Administrator (Psiber/Sage300), Ormonde, R27k tctc

  • 5 years payroll administrator experience in manufacturing environment
  • Payroll administration qualification
  • 3 years exp with psiber payroll systems
  • Accsys time and attendance
  • 650 employees on weekly payroll
  • Exp managing small teams
  • Exp in shared service environment
  • Solid understanding of payroll and hr cycles
  • Good understanding of
    • SARS Tax Legislation
    • Compensation and Wage Structures
    • Worker Compensation
    • Benefits Administration
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; appropriately communicates with all levels of customers from assistants to Sr.

  • Ensure all collective agreement rules and regulations per location are accurate and up to date on
  • Ensure that monthly group salary payrolls as well as group weekly wage payrolls are processed timely and
  • Analyze payroll problems and provide appropriate
  • Bring wage and salary related issues to the attention of the relevant HR Managers for relevant staff
  • Selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining wage payroll
  • Participates in interview process for new hires into Payroll
  • Balances payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies; initiating journal
  • Coordinate with operations, HR and finance teams to carry out payroll
  • Review and recommend improvements to existing payroll
  • Communicating job expectations to team of payroll administrators and work in conjunction with HR team
  • Adhering to policies and procedures and meeting audit requirements, ensuring payroll supporting documentation / HR / employee filing received and processed
  • Meet all salary and wage payroll operational
  • Maintain employee payroll records up-to-date and accurate including employee
  • Ensure all payroll calculations/formulas are accurate and up to date per legislation and collective
  • Implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
  • Meets payroll financial standards by providing annual budget
  • Updates records by reviewing and entering changes in collective agreement
  • Prepares salaries by verifying time records and leave records; calculating and producing checks or electronic transfers; calculating and producing bonuses as and when
  • Balances payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies; initiating journal
  • Capture and process annual increases and assist where necessary with
  • Determines payroll liabilities by entering accurate tax
  • Fulfill garnishment requirements by completing forms; adjusting payroll records, documenting and transmitting withholdings; negotiating with collection agencies to convert garnishments to wage
  • Manage medical aids and pension funds for salary staff and compare to monthly
  • Facilitate weekly (as required) team and HR joint
  • Assist in monitoring workload and evaluate direct reports and may review the evaluations/development plans of
  • Provide staff with assistance and attend to queries as and when
  • Ensure team members acquire necessary skills and performance attributes, in line with business and personal development
  • Provide guidance to and share knowledge with colleagues/team members relating to own
  • Assist Payroll manager to create annual team
  • Escalate potential issue to Senior Payroll Manager/Supervisor.
  • Assist with CTCs as and when
  • Assist HR in processing terminations by means of UIF Salary / Wage schedules and UI19 forms upon
  • Participates in interview process for new hires into Payroll
  • Defines standards and reusable approaches within the Payroll operational
  • Train team members on new or enhanced operation procedures and
  • Ensure Team completes filing and data capturing
  • Identify process improvement initiatives and define standards for new
