POSITION INFO:

Proposals Engineer Contracts Engineer - Southern Suburbs, Cape Town - Market Related

(Basic salary, Provident Fund, Medical Aid, Car Allowance, Petrol Card)

Seeking an individual who has initiative, drive and is able to work under the pressure of tender deadlines and closing sales in accordance with company policies, procedures and ISO quality standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• BSc or BEng Mechanical Engineering
• 4 to 5 years’ experience plant maintenance or in a production or in a manufacturing environment. (Plant Design)
• Prepared to travel locally and internationally.
•  

Experience:

Must have a minimum of five years in an engineering environment, with proposals, sales, project management experience with the focus on the following:

• Be able to interact with customers at all levels
• Ability to define project requirements based on customer interaction
• Knowledge and experience of boiler house risk assessments
• Estimating experience
• A proven track record of preparing tenders and securing orders
• Ability to prepare proposals and technical documents
• Knowledge and experience with international commercial conditions (FIDIC, NEC3, etc) will be an advantage
• Strong negotiation skills
