Exciting and challenging opportunity for a Proposals Engineer to join a high performance, fast paced, solutions driven team! My client is a Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Projects Company, who offer turnkey within the mineral processing industry. Based in Centurion, Gauteng

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities:

Understanding Customer Requirements: Interpret inquiries and requests for quotations from existing and prospective customers to establish initial understanding of customer needs.
Customer Liaison: Build further understanding of customer requirements by engaging with customers directly.
Proposal Development: Determine key objectives and possible options for proposals in line with product decisions. Coordinate the supply of necessary information, organize estimates, and define scope of supply.
Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Commercial, and Project Managers to evaluate technical risk and commercial terms.
Supplier Coordination: Prepare RFQs for suppliers/subcontractors against specifications and terms & conditions.
Tender Specifications: Compile comprehensive tender specifications, including prices, commercial conditions, comments, deviations, and technical specifications for presentation to the customer.
Customer Support: Act as focal point for customer queries regarding proposal submissions to reach agreement and build positive ongoing relationships.
Proposal Management: Monitor progress and status of proposals, maintaining accurate records

To be considered for this role, you should have:

A Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering
At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in MS Office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
