SUMMARY:
A diverse multinational consumer Brand Business is seeking an experienced Property Consultant, to be based in their offices in Epping, Cape Town.

POSITION INFO:

Property Consultant

Reporting to the Stores Design and Development Manager

The Property Consultant will be responsible for lease administration, the timely processing of new leases or renewals, communicating with Landlords and Mall Centre Management regarding store design requirements.

This role will also support the objectives of Retail Operations through assisting the Store Design and Development Manager with the project management of new store builds, revamps, and store relocation initiatives for all the Brands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build quality relationships with Landlords and Property Developers.
  • Ensure all rental lease renewals are done timeously and at the best lease terms.
  • In conjunction with the Manager, assist in identifying and analysing rental opportunities.
  • Oversee and track lease agreements.
  • Provide direct administrative support to the Manager.
  • Organise, compile and prepare reports.
  • Assist with the administration of new and renewal of leases.
  • Ensure compliance to lease agreement in terms of the store design.
  • To liaise with relevant stakeholders (e.g. architects, shopfitters, etc.) in order to project manage the development plan and timelines in accordance with budget.
  • Oversee the shopfitters, on-site, to ensure accurate execution and compliance to design specification.
  • Assist the Store Design and Development Manager to effectively manage and liaise with all stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the project.
  • To provide regular reports and feedback to stakeholders regarding project progress.
  • Assist with budget projections, tracking and monthly reporting versus actuals.
  • Assistant the Store Design and Development Manager to effectively project manage all new stores and revamps to ensure timeous store openings.
  • Assist in the identification and sourcing of shopfitters offering high quality service at competitive rates.
  • Keep abreast of store design trends (locally and internationally).

 Education & Experience Requirements

  • Matric Certificate and relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management/ Property Management/ Retail Management.
  • 3 - 5 years relevant work experience within a Property Asset Management company or retail environment.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks / projects
  • Exposure to retail operations.
  • Driver''s Licence and own vehicle.
