Energy Solutions Solutions Specialist (specialising in Electrical), based in Durban

Reports to – National Manager Energy Solutions

This position requires you to provide the most effective engineered electrical solutions for the customer in the Industrial Market. The customer’s regulatory, technical and budgetary requirements must be fully understood and utilised in the design process to maximise customer value from the project. You are required to work closely with the designer, implementation team and sales team to ensure the needs of the client are met as per the technical design.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Provide a technical service for the Sales Reps to sell to clients
  • Work with sales to identify and scope opportunities.
  • Act quickly to develop designs and proposals to increase likelihood of winning project
  • Answer all technical questions from the client- emphasising benefit and value.
  • Present proposals with Account manager to explain technical benefits and secure the deal
  • Develop proposals that maximise benefit and value for the Client
    • Engineer solutions to minimise cost and maximise benefit required
    • Work with implementation team to ensure best pricing and product availability
    • Tailor solutions to client needs and constraints
    • Work effectively with Design team
      • Provide clear project brief and scope
      • Review all designs and approve
      • Pursue excellence and adherence to customer requirements in all designs
      • Work effectively with Implementation team to ensure implementation aligns to design
        • Assist where required in implementation to ensure aligns to design expectations
        • Provide technical support on issues
        • Give technical sign off on project once completed
        • Assist National Manager Energy Solutions on all levels when required

Qualification:

 Min of Electrical EngineerinG Degree or Diploma
