RESPONSIBILITIES

Â

  • Responsible for achieving sales, revenues and profitability targets within the allocated client base/area
  • Responsible for identifying and developing new clients deemed as suitable for the company within the allocated client base/area
  • Visit, e-mail and telephone calls to clients as per calling structures
  • Provide regular feedback and reports as defined by relevant ISO procedures and by the responsible Sales Manager on activity within the specified client base/area
  • Participate in the presentation of potential solutions to clients
  • Negotiate Service Level Agreements in line with company policies, to meet the client’s requirement and expectations
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans in the allocated client base/area to accommodate Company objectives, targets and budgets
  • Review market analysis to determine customer needs, and recommend price schedules and discount rates
  • Deliver sales presentations to clients
  • Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalogues, and emphasizes features
  • Regular client interaction, assisting them with sales quotes, literature, technical support, marketing material and training
  • Monitors and evaluates competition activities and products
  • Ensure calendar / CRM system is updated with all client contact details and client activities within the branch
  • Ensures effective use of sales tools provided by the Company. These could be marketing, product or business-related tools
  • Forecasting of current and future potential business within the client base including product category by vendor in conjunction with the Sales Manager
  • Schedule correspondence with clients in line with company Projects and client requirements to ensure consistent contact and knowledge transfer through to closure of the sale
  • Provide effective delivery of training within the client base/area
  • Assist where needed in the preparation of client quotations in line with company ISO procedures and relative Service Level Agreements
  • Attend trade shows and product launches as scheduled by the Company
  • Monitor debtors together with finance department and branch manager to ensure timely collection of outstanding monies in line with Company policies and procedures
  • Provides immediate feedback to the debtors and finance departments with regards to any change in the clients’ status or ownership
  • Work with all the Companies personnel responsible for the on-going quality service as required by the client – Management team, product managers, technical consultants, sales consultants, counter sales, procurement, warehousing, operations, finance and administration
  • Ensure ISO procedures with respect to pricing policy, discounts and SLA agreements are adhered to
  • Attend meetings as stipulated or scheduled by the Company
  • Solve technical queries on products, by providing either telephonic support or on-site support
  • Give after hours support to clients, where necessary
  • Assists fellow Sales Representatives/staff with the support of their clients during illness, annual leave or general unavailability
  • Assists the Branch Supervisor in the management of all slow moving, excess and redundant stock
  • Assists the Branch Supervisor with monthly stock forecasting
  • Maintains ISO compliancy

Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • MUST have own reliable and fully insured car
  • MUST have 5 years Project Sales experience in the Security Equipment industry
  • Relevant Sales related qualification and/or training would be advantageous
  • Sound knowledge of Alarms/Access Control, Fire and CCTV Technical and Sales experience of this equipment is NON-NEGOTIABLE
  • Proven Sales Track history
  • Computer literate – MS Office
  • Working knowledge of Syspro or similar ERP software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • SA Citizens Only
