Project Manager Retail Development

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Project Manager to manage the Retail side of their business. 
The ideal candidate will be based in P.E. and will have experience in the fuel industry

Retail development of Shop and Forecourts: Duties:
-  Bring sites online and functional asap. A site where pumps and tanks need to be replaced should take 3-months max.
-  Preparing existing or new sites for revamp/rebranding site as per our CI guide.
-  Identify if your site has a retailer, if yes, confirm if the retailer is an experienced retailer or new to industry.
-  If new to industry, arrange for the retailer to visit sites closest so the retailer will be prepared by knowing what he needs to run a site daily, as well as what type of cashflow is needed.
-  Checking the accuracy of costings provided by development specialists, compiling costing accordingly with supporting documents.
-  Chasing to get funds unlocked to keep to monthly target of developing 3 sites per month.
-  Issue orders, identify which contractor can take site and get an estimate start to finish timeline from contractor and report accordingly.
-  Stay close to finance in terms of cash flow planning for projects.
-  Stay close to credit control department ensuring standard applications is handed in timeously.
-  Identify and report risks.
-  Manage projects closely and always be one step ahead.
-  Ensure contractors not taking shortcuts.
-  Contractors’ quotes should always have detailed description of work they will be doing and or supply of equipment, surface work eg, paving price per sqm, I need to know which colour and grade the paving will be and the estimated sqm.
-  When they quote on lights I need the spec, same for flooring, and tiling, I need the detail of the grouting, electrical points to be indicated on the drawing and attached to the quote.
-  Building a white box, not acceptable line item on a quote, I need the detail of the actual building works, and finishes.
-  Supporting documents: goes hand in hand with your final costing. Keep your customers informed and understand their needs before the contractor takes site
