POSITION INFO:

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and overseeing project to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project manager will plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress and keep stakeholders informed the entire way.

The Project Manager will take lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing project. Will be accountable for the entire project scope, project team, resources and the success or failure of the project.

Brief Project Details:

Installation and refurbishment of electrical cables and equipment at various power stations in Mpumalanga for the next three years.

Full Function Initiation to Completion Including:

• Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements
• Prepare project organization and communication charts
• Chair site meetings nd distribute minutes to all project team members
• Manage, track progress and quality of work being performed by the execution teams
• Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plan, work hours, budgets and expenditures
• Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team
• Ensure client’s needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Maintain Contract Execution Log
• Track and manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database
• Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained
• Communicate ides for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others
• Keep the Project Director and others informed bout project status and issues that may impact client relations

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Degree or Diploma in Project Management
• 5 – 8 years of experience
• Proficient in MS Project and the MS Office Suite of products
• Knowledge of the electrical industry (Experience in managing projects Eskom related projects will be an advantage
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Strong multi tsking nd organizational skills
• Valid Driver’s license
• Own Car
