POSITION INFO:

Are you ready to work as a Project Manager for a company whose specialisation in engineering solar grid-tied and off-grid solutions allows them to be recognised as pioneers in the Solar PV EPC and O&M space? Our client is looking for a proactive Project Manager who can show their mettle by running and managing energy projects from conception to delivery whilst ensuring that strict deadlines and deliverables are met.

This role will see you travelling throughout South Africa working on industrial and commercial projects, with sizes ranging anywhere from 50 kWP to 1MW – this is important, so feel free to share your project list with us! You will be involved in all aspects of the project and can be expected to be responsible for site assessments, compiling reports and proposals for clients, planning and scheduling tasks and taking charge of logistics. In conjunction with these activities, you will also find yourself implementing health and safety procedures, outlining project activities AND managing technical teams on-site to ensure the smooth hand over of the plant. For this reason, it is important to be meticulous in your work and show dedication to building a solid relationship with your team to ensure the timely delivery of projects.

You are the perfect fit for this role if you have a methodological approach to work and have uncontested knowledge of solar technical theory as this will aid with your strategic initiative to ensure that standard processes and procedures are followed. Therefore, this opportunity will also require you to hold an Engineering degree or at the very least a National Diploma and a minimum of 3+ years managing projects in the PV field.
