Project Finance Controller

SUMMARY:
Our client in Centurion is looking for a Junior Project Finance Controller to start ASAP!

POSITION INFO:

Overview

This role involves performing project monitoring and data collection to determine if a project is progressing
according to budget. This may include conducting project audits, project finance modelling, optimising project
cost control processes, managing project schedules, and overseeing regulatory compliance issues within these
projects.

Position Summary & objectives

• Managing and develop the following key performance indicators relating to the projects:
• Project Cost Control
• Project Budget Monitoring & Reporting
• Project Cash Flow Planning & Budget for projects we deliver to clients
• Project Cash Flow Reporting
• Project Client & Stakeholder Management
• Project Supplier Management
• Project Service Provider Management
• Preparation of SARS VAT schedule in line with project forecasted schedule
• Ensure that audit and compliance process are followed for all projects
• Project Financial Modelling

Main duties / Key responsibilities/accountabilities

• Ensure that purchase orders are timeously issued for all projects.
• Obtain all client purchase orders timeously as per commercial contract or confirmed customer orders.
• Reporting on project financials as per the defined KPI’s on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
• Managing ageing and open PO’s.
• Ensure all suppliers & service provider statement are current on monthly basis.
• Work closely with Finance to ensure that all company financials are up to date.
• Analyse and propose solution to optimize project financials and controls.
• Timeously ensure that all information is up to date in Quickbase or any other business support system.
• Fully computer literate in
• Windows,
• Microsoft Word,
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel,
• Power Point,
• MS Projects
• Pastel Accounting
• Xero Accounting (optional)

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience in managing project finances.
• BCom with specialization in Financial Management or equivalent qualification
• Project Management Experience will be advantageous but are not compulsory.

SALARY

• R30 000 - Negotiable
