JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Project Coordinator you will manage and coordinate all engineering projects and project activities for the organisation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Measurable objectives and outcomes for innovation/ideas is quantified, documented and traceableFeasibility analysis are conducted to determine the feasibility of the innovation/idea.
  • All aspects of the project is considered to ensure a accurate feasibility analysis is conducted
  • Accurate feasibility analysis is presented to all role players for decision on go-ahead of project
  • Detailed feasibility analysis information is filled and traceable
  • Specifications of objectives is documented accurately and traceable at all times
  • Accurate specifications is communicate to prospective suppliers for costing and quotes
  • Formals comparative quotes are requested from three suppliers per item
  • Meetings are held with all role players and formal selection methods (score card) are applied to select most suitable suppliers to deliver objectives/outcomes as quantified
  • Final decisions are made involving all decision makers and decisions are documented and traceable
  • Formal supplier agreements with suppliers (inclusive of detail specifications and expectations) are documented, filed and traceable
  • The Selection of suppliers information are 100% transparent, filed and traceable at all times
  • Detailed presentation is prepared for presentation to the decision makers (presentation must include detailed outlay of the project with accurate estimates of costing)
  • Presentation is presented is communicated and presented and decisions are recorded, filed and traceable at times
  • Conceptual phase is plotted, planned and documented
  • Approval phase is plotted, planned and documented
  • Detail design and planning phase is plotted, planned and documented (inclusive of designs)
  • Procurement phase is plotted, planned and documented
  • Initiation phase is plotted, planned and documents
  • Commissioning and handover phase planned and documented
  • Project review is plan, plotted and documents (inclusive of outcomes/objective listed in review phaseDetailed project plan is documented, communicated and traceable at all times
  • Detailed budget is formulated, and project number is obtained from finance

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Industrial/Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • Project Management Diploma
  • Induction into organisations processes and procedures
  • Full competence in this role is typically developed over a 2 – 3 year period in FMCG environment
