Job Type: 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

The Project accountant assumes full responsibility of the financial project cycle and financial project management of all marketing campaigns.

Ensure that key business objectives of the Business Unit are met with regards to marketing expenditure forecasting, variance analysis and budget control. Manages the month end close process, publicity budget process and forecasting process for CBU together with the marketing managing executive and team. Deliver detailed reporting for tracking of strategic objectives, expenditure (WBS/Internal order reports) by category and segment and key commercial initiatives to both the marketing team and Opex specialist within the team. Full understanding of the marketing cost drivers.

Qualifications:

Any accounting diploma with a minimum of Accounting1 completed at tertiary level is preferable

Minimum Requirements:

3-5 years of experience in the finance environment
Opex planning and analysis - Support Financial Services in completion of Annual Budget and on-going Forecasts of publicity expenditure, in order to have challenging, realistic and achievable financial plans with sufficient expenditure to achieve strategic goals
Target management and control - Ensure Financial Services annual marketing budget is correctly phased for monthly spend and monitor spend against forecast
Management reporting - Assist FinOPs with the month end closure process, ensuring accruals and other accounting entries are accurately reflected
Business intelligence - Understanding SAP the BI Tools available and being able to obtain relevant information from the various source systems
Control and governance - Maintain an effective operational control environment over financial items, identifying weaknesses and development and implementation of solutions
