Overview:
Our client is on the hunt for an experienced Loom Tuner (Production Technician). As a quick-thinking, ambitious Technician, our company will depend on you and your abilities to keep our operations, machines, and equipment operating smoothly.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Inspect, maintain and repair industrial equipment and machinery to ensure they’re always in proper working order.
Observe the operation of manufacturing machinery, paying attention to small details and symptoms to identify issues that need correcting, either in operator error or mechanical malfunction
Test machines to confirm the presence or absence of issues, making recommendations for continued operation based on the results
Operate repaired machine to confirm it is fully functional
Evaluate the efficiency of each machine, making recommendations for practices or upgrades to improve output rates without compromising operator safety.
Care for machinery and equipment by cleaning them after use, adjusting parts, and lubricating moving components as needed to ensure proper, efficient function.
Examine moving parts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for signs of excessive wear, defects, and damage.
Conduct preventive maintenance on machines.
Record all maintenance and repair services performed, and keep track of all materials and parts used during the repair process.
Request orders to be placed to replenish materials and parts when inventory grows low or is depleted.
Study manufacturer manuals and blueprints and carefully follow directions when operating or setting up newly-acquired machinery.

Minimum Requirements:

National Diploma: Mechanical Engineering or related field.
+2 years’ mechanical and maintenance experience.
Previous experience working with machines in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to learn from machine instruction manuals.
Availability to work shifts.
