SUMMARY:

Our client in the food manufacturing industry is seeking a production supervisor to join them in the Uthukela District of Kwazulu-Natal. Must understand processed meats and preparation thereof.

POSITION INFO:

Position: Production Supervisor (Polony/Cold Meats)

Location: Uthukela District, Kwazulu-Natal (Close to Ladysmith)

Salary Range: R -----.00 – R -----.00 p/a

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

Managing / Monitoring production process
Ensuring personal hygiene checks are done on all staff before production begins
Planning daily order for production
Ensuring all staff follow SOP’s for the company
Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process
Ensure an efficient handover to the next shift
Perform proper root cause analysis on all deviations found
Ensure the consistency of product, in terms of texture, temperature, appearance, quality of the raw material used.
To identify bottle necks in your process and address the root cause of the bottle neck
Knowledge of department production processes, materials, and production techniques
Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

Matric
3-5 years in production supervisor role
5 years’ experience in meat/poultry industry
