Our client is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Managing two teams of 16 employees that continuously achieve production and quality targets
* Be able and willing to handle basic disciplinary actions when needed.
* Engage with employees with regards to industrial relations matters such as grievances, ensure policies and procedures are adhered to etc
* Identify training needs for team
* Ensure that Health and Safety measures are implemented
* Able to drive continuous improvement and help team come up with innovative ways to solve problems

Key Skills
* Good attendance and passionate individual, with a superior level of work performance & general work ethic.
* Sound knowledge of general nursery operations and processes.
* Commitment to safety and maintaining a safe work environment.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail within a nursery setting.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
* Ability to get along and work well with a diverse group of people.

Qualifications

* Grade 12
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Driver’s licence
* Candidate should ideally be able to communicate in Xhosa, English, and Afrikaans
* Apple and/or Pear farming experience is not a necessity but will be beneficial
