POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• Minimum N3
• Qualified Millwright/Electrician/Fitter/Toolmaker
• Plastics Manufacturing qualification NQF 4 or 5
• Supervisory course (preferable)

Job Requirements:

• 3 – 5 years’ minimum experience in Production or Manufacturing management roles in an industrial/ manufacturing environment, with exposure to all areas of production and manufacturing
• 3 years’ experience in a Supervisory role
• Plastics industry technical knowledge ideally in Injection Moulding and Injection Blow Moulding
• Computer literacy: Ms Office, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
• Ability to work independently
• Good timekeeping is essential

Your key responsibilities will be:                                                                                                                                                            

• Ensuring maximum quality approved products are produced in accordance with specifications
• Ensuring production efficiency is achieved on a constant basis              
• Control of material wastage
• Improve machine efficiencies
• Implement corrective actions if there are any deviations, by performing on-line quality checks
• Assist in breakdowns, repairs and also report faulty components
• Ensure that machines are in proper working condition and maintained as scheduled
• Identifying skills gaps and developing reportees through suitable training initiatives
• Ensuring that reporting is done as required as required by all stakeholders
• Ensuring that all safety legislation and compliance is maintained and upheld at all times
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are upheld and applied at all times

Preforming any other adhoc duties that may be required from time to time
