Production Planner

SUMMARY:
Our Client is a market leader in the liquor industry. Due to ongoing expansion they are now looking for a Planning Team Leader who will join their team at their facility in Isando.

POSITION INFO:

Key responsibilities:

• Analysis of the production performance to ensure that the product is produced consistently within the acceptable quality standards first time right.
• To confirm the effectiveness of the business quality management system.
• To ensure the safety of employees and zero accidents occur to employees on duty.
• To ensure legal compliance with the OHS Act.
• To ensure line efficiencies aligned with business requirements
• To ensure that the required products are delivered to the consumer on time in full without quality defects.
• To manage and control manpower spend while ensuring that the budget is not exceeded.

To qualify for this role, you will need:

• Degree/Diploma Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Operations Management
• Experience in FMCG/Retail/Liquor environment in production planning
• Good technical ability
• Ability to manage and motivate teams
• Good communication skills - written and verbal
• Planning and Coordination skills
• Must have knowledge of Quality management systems such as ISO 9001
• Must have knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such TPM, Six Sigma and WCM
• Performance management skills
• Must be willing to work shifts, overtime and do standby duty.
• Must be willing to train other employees.
• Valid code 08 driver’s license or higher and own transport
