Production Planner

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the statistical database, collation of all production statistics and reports, monitoring and reconciliation of all production stock including raw, WIP and finished goods.

POSITION INFO:

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills  

• National Diploma in Production/Industrial Management, Chemical/ Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent
• 2 years supervisory, planning and production experience preferably in heavy engineering
• Computer literate - good knowledge of Excel, SAP would be advantageous
• Must be able to write and present reports

Key Result Areas:

• Preparing all production reports and statistical information daily, monthly or yearly  
• Coordinating of SAP reports and inputs for the entire production line
• Assist in consolidating month-end closing
• Ordering or purchasing of all raw materials including grinding media and fuel
• Receipting on SAP
• Monitor daily variances between physical vs SAP
• Daily stock count, monitoring and update of stock
• Supplying plant production information on request
• Coordination of benchmarking information for a presentation at a technical meeting
• Planning all production activities to meet production demands
• Production budgets and costs reports including stock reconciliation
• Be able to support the production shifts
