Production Manager / WCA Manager / IOD

POSITION INFO:

A well-established company specialising in the administration of injury on duty claims are recruiting for a Production Manager to manage the production division and staff, overseeing daily operations (capturing, interpreting, processing and adjudicating of medical claims related to injury on duty), manage targets and provide training and feedback to clients. The Ideal candidate needs to have a Tertiary degree in business and/or project management and have at least 5 years management experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ownership of the entire production process
• Ensuring that all procedures are followed and that all production goals are met
• Ensuring that all standard operating procedure are fully documented and kept updated
• Management of production throughput and incentives
• Providing feedback to Management in scheduled meetings as well as on request
• Managing of direct reports including all related HR functions e.g., performance agreements, disciplinary procedures, adherence to company policies, etc
• Recruitment and on -the -job training of staff
• Continuous skills development of all direct reports and production staff
• Ensuring that proper quality control procedures are implemented and maintained throughout all operational processes
• Perform weekly quality checks on work processed for the week with the aim of eliminating errors
• Analysis of all metrics in the production environment with the aim to identify problems, enhance processes and optimize claims collection and finalization
• Work with the COO and IT manager to optimize the automation of production process; and
• Continuous enhancement of production reporting statistics and mechanisms

Training Duties:

• Take ownership of all internal training programs
• Review existing training program and restructuring the content of internal programs (beginner, intermediate, advanced)
• Conduct internal training sessions with the support of the other trainers to upskill staff at all levels of the company; and
• Together with the other Unit managers ensure continuous revision and enhancement of internal training programs

Other Duties:

• Ad hoc tasks in line with the company’s objectives as and when required; and
• Other duties that may arise from time to time as directed by the Chief Executive Officer.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Tertiary degree in business and/or project management
• 5 years management experience in a service-oriented production / project environment, preferable in the medical industry
• Analytical abilities with full competence in the use of various tools/techniques to evaluate and/or optimise production processes
• Experience with injury-on-duty claims management will be beneficial
